Hello friends and happy Tuesday! Well, that’s quite the long title isn’t it? But it literally says it all. I don’t know how many of you are like me and constantly want to read the same books over and over again but it’s a serious problem for me. Last year I did a lot of rereading, ended up rereading 18 books in total. I’m trying to be better this year but it’s the hardest thing I’ve ever done. Every time I finish a new book and I try to figure out what to read next I’m like “ok so what can I reread now?” And I’m always going back to the same books so when I say it’s a problem I really mean it. So I figured that I should share my massive problem with all of you now.
Here is today’s Top Five Tuesday: Books I Need To Stop Rereading But Can’t
1. THE SCORE BY ELLE KENNEDY
I could probably say the entire Off Campus series in general but I cannot stay away from The Score in particular. And by that I mean that I’ve read this book 5 times and I want to keep going. I don’t think I’ve reread a book as much as I have with this one. I mean it makes me feel so happy and is definitely a top comfort book for me and I love both Allie and Dean more than anything. But yeah, I gotta not pick up this book and read new books but I cannot control myself apparently.
2. THE HATING GAME BY SALLY THORNE
The reason for this is relatively similar to the previous book but the only difference is I’ve only read this book 3 times. But on the other hand, I read it 3 times in the same year and I need to not do that. But it’s such a happy book! With amazing characters and writing! I can’t help it! I wanna marry this book, for real. Or like marry it with The Score and BOOM perfect book child after that. That was a weird sentence, I’m sorry.
3. MANAGED BY KRISTEN CALLIHAN
I’m still working on reread #3 of this book but again, it’s just such a favourite of mine because it makes me happy. Have you noticed that I reread books that just make me happy? Anyways, I love a lot about Callihan’s writing and this has to be one of my favourites of hers. It made me see a character in a new way and truly fall in love with him when I never thought I would. It’s such a wonderful book.
4. LADIES MAN BY KATY EVANS
Listen, I just really love me my man Tahoe Roth. I also love this story and Gina’s entire development but if I’m rereading this book I can guarantee it’s for Tahoe. He’s just so amazing and such a good guy and I love him a lot. And again, this is a book that really makes me happy so I typically turn towards this book when I need that.
5. THE ARCHIVED BY VICTORIA SCHWAB
What is probably the most underrated book on this list and quite possibly my favourite, there’s something so unbelievably comforting about The Archived that is very hard to replicate. I don’t know if it’s the story in general or Mackenzie but I’m always drawn to rereading this book. Plus, there’s Wesley and his entire being that fills me with so much love and joy but this is one of the books that really got me back into reading 3 years ago and it holds a special place in my heart.
Well, those are the top books I apparently can’t stop rereading! I definitely reread a lot more than this but these are truly the ones I cannot stay away from no matter how hard I try. If any of you have the same problem as me let me know in the comments and hopefully we can help each other get through this together.
Until next time,
