UNBOXING OWLCRATE: FEBRUARY

Hello friends and happy Wednesday!

So this post is a couple weeks late but I’ve been so wrapped up in reading so many amazing books that I almost forgot to share this with you all, but better late than never! This was yet again such a magical unboxing, and this time it was actually at my front door rather than my mailbox which had me squealing in pure delight when I got home that day! Having a book box subscription is like experiencing Christmas every month. I love it.

Let’s get to the unboxing!

This month’s Owlcrate theme was Whimsical Beasts and as soon as I read the little sneak peek for this box in my email, I couldn’t wait to open it! And it was so worth it. All of the items in this box were related to a certain magical fantasy creature or was inspired by it, and I feel like everyone loves magical creatures so it’s impossible to be disappointed. The book we received in this box was Crown of Feathers by Nicki Pau Preto, which she signed as well, and beyond having a special Owlcrate edition of the cover, this edition also has stained edges! I love stained edges! And it’s purple stained edges! How much more magical can you get than that?? I’m definitely excited to pick up this book and drown myself in it. It sounds so good.

MY FAVOURITE ITEMS FROM THE BOX

  • A Harry Potter inspired beanie (or toque, for my Canadians) that says “Accio Books” and has little unicorns all around
  • Pixie Dust soap, inspired by Peter Pan
  • A Harry Potter inspired umbrella, designed with all the whimsical beasts found in the series

Additionally, the box included an enamel pin inspired by the book, a Spirited Away keychain, and a graphic novel titled The Tea Dragon Society, which looks so beautiful! Next month’s theme is apparently all about murder and mayhem, inspired by a lot of great series I’ve already read, and I’m having such a hard time figuring out what the book is going to be so only time will tell!

Until next time,
